Pumping Stations

Pumping Stations

are introduced into Drainage systems when gravity restrictions prevent the Normal construction of Foul or Surface Water systems to be constructed. May be due to Low lying ground, long distances to the nearest Main or Trunk Sewer. Basement installations. waste transferring. or Structural complications.

Pumping stations normally consist of a wet well that receives the flow. a predetermined level is set which once reached activates a float or laser switch allowing the pump to activate, pressurising the main to transfer the waste to the required outlet sewer connection.

Pumping Stations require maintenance to keep effective operation with responsibilty taken to only the correct materials entering the system. they can vary in size and operational processes.

Free Flow Ltd can offer services from maintenance programmes to complete installations
